I Don't Understand These Humans....

I'm just curious, why
Would you go home with a guy
Gal, neither, both, non-binary, or however they identify
With looks being the only reason to qualify,
Especially one whom you hardly know?
You do know,
We have plenty of people on this planet?
Have you got it yet?
And we don't need so many people risking getting pregnant anymore
Just to score.
I'll bet you didn't know, but the game you've been playing,
That you think you've been winning,
Is more like darts, or regatta boat racing,
Where the lowest score wins,
So many people have been losing by large margins...

You think by now they would learn,
You give your most prized possession away,
And you come back with heartbreak, when they go away,
Or betray, or they won't leave you alone and go away,
Or looks down on you for past encounters,
Or society looks down on you for such encounters.
What if that person turns out to be over-controlling, or a murderer?
How can you be sure? You don't know them, remember?

Humans keep looking for that treasure,
But isn't that special gift, a gift of love and understanding, not their part's measure?
If people keep getting hurt for the sake of short-term pleasure,
Then maybe I am a different creature
Of a different race
Looking on at the heartache and heartbreak in everyone's face.
I'm sorry to say,
But humans really are stupid, aren't they?
I really hope I find out I'm not human, one day,
Because they make me ashamed to say,
That I am one of them....

There are very few that seem to think as I do,
Maybe we should go ahead and fully colonize this planet too,
I think we would be doing them a favor,
By coming to this sphere,
And ridding this world of sexual addiction,
And overpopulation
By making them choose someone they love for intimacy, or no one at all,
And kill all
Who break those rules,
Then this world would be one of the universe's jewels!

Isn't loving intimacy, the best kind of intimacy, anyway? Or at least, that's what I've heard.
