Soared
When my mind was violent,
you were silent, raised the sirens,
held you while you were lying,
showing restraint, withholding affection,
you were deflecting
your form flying
to safer sights,
I was wasted - hanging
upside down,
that you allowed
ran before I could walk,
you talked when I needed more than words
it was absurd
how quickly
you could retract
love you could easily put back.
They say seeds don't grow without nurture.
You were the gardener who abandoned nature.
you were silent, raised the sirens,
held you while you were lying,
showing restraint, withholding affection,
you were deflecting
your form flying
to safer sights,
I was wasted - hanging
upside down,
that you allowed
ran before I could walk,
you talked when I needed more than words
it was absurd
how quickly
you could retract
love you could easily put back.
They say seeds don't grow without nurture.
You were the gardener who abandoned nature.
