White Windows
I’m not easy to love;
I work too much
—my mind drifts—
inclined to deep focus
forgoing rest, balance;
but, you effortlessly allot
distance to do what I enjoy
—minus stipulation—
whatever makes me happy
in that particular moment
without condition
Our time will come;
and, you’ll be there
If not, it’ll be painless
shaping space for your freedom
—beyond expectation—
whatever makes you happy
in that particular moment
without complaining
Our time will come;
and, I’ll be there
because. . .
Love isn’t possession
or, ever complete in growth;
it’s White Windows, light—
an evolutionary process
constantly opening itself
to Lifetimes of experience
~

A beautifully crafted poem Ahavati. I especially like how you see love as never complete in its growth but a continuous process evolving with time as two people grow together. It's not often we meet someone who can love us unconditionally when we are hard to love for our eccentricities. Happy anniversary.

Thank you, Luna. It really is the most wonderful gift which starts with self, knowing what you want, and boundaries preventing anyone else from dictating your life. Be yourself, then see, of those who claim they love you, which is left standing by your side.

I wasn't expecting this at all, especially today, but I suppose it technically is our 3 year anniversary of when we first met somewhere in the world! Best Friends immediately, forever and always.
Yes, so much of this is true - like you always forgetting to eat ...
... except for Line 1; I've found loving you is effortless and the opportunity to do so? My prayers manifested.
Thank you for this gift and all the amazing companionship you have blessed me with so far. My only regret is that we didn't connect sooner here LOL!
Here's to many more years to come! 💜💑💋

Ladies ( and gents ) who may be reading, this highlights our differences: Johnny enjoys letting me know what's coming— days in advance, while I like to act like I don't remember before hitting him without warning from left field! :joy: ( Both work, btw. )
You're very welcome, and Happy Anniversary. 💜

Love the way this flows and how you are able to say so much with not too many words!
Truly a beautiful piece
Especially love the ending

Thank you for your thoughts, JZ. While there may be compromise in regards to decision-making; Love requires no sacrifice, particularly of self ( meaning, who you truly are ). Sacrifice that and you'll be lost.

Re. White Windows

If you say another person, for me, this means there is something lacking in this love. True love makes the two one, and each loves the other more than himself.

Re: Re. White Windows
Actually, you're referring to eros; I am referring to agape—the love relationship with the Universe; or, your soul. One must know and relate to such love for a solid foundation prior to any relationship. If one does not know this type of love, and they enter into an eros, or romantic relationship, there's a good chance they'll become dependent on their partner for their own personal happiness.
A healthy relationship allows for space, like Gibran says, be as the pillars of the temple and let there be space between you.
I think there is simply a matter of semantics regarding terms here.

For me, love is both agape and eros, but it should have permanence under the holy marriage given by the church.

Not all marriages are made in heaven and should not be bound by mistakes. If all things are forgivable by God, then so is divorce, particularly from an abusive relationship.
Also, agape love is divine, it's the relationship Rumi had with God ( you should read him ). Many mistake his beloved for a female, but it wasn't. I have seen, heard, and it is written that once you discover the nature of Love, that there is no more need for the physical, or eros aspect.

I like your last idea. It is spiritual, and l believe in spirituality. However, l think that a person should be practical after achieving the spiritual part performed by the church.

A Christian would find that useful; however, those of us who aren't confined to one box of belief opt for a different way.
Re. White Windows
Re: Re. White Windows

I don't have a box of belief, JZ. I have a Universal one that there is truth as well as untruth in all things, religions included. Do I believe in Lao-tzu, yes. Do I believe in God and Jesus, yes. Do I believe in Buddha, yes. Do I believe in Lord Krishna, yes. Do I believe in Confucius, yes. Do I believe in Allah, yes. I believe all existed, in addition to others ( Dali Lama, Gandhi, etc ) whose purpose in life was to teach of Love. That is the truth of their existence. The untruth of their existence lies in the translations by man for purposes of control toward other human beings.
Love is my religion.
Love is my religion.

Dear Ahavati,
It is very interesting to talk to you. Loving everybody is a great belief. It is a basic side in Christianity, but in addition to love, there is another side in Christianity, which is the power of Christ that made Him able to raise the dead. Who else could raise the dead beside Him. I believe in Him as the Master of the soul. In this way l need Him to help me. No other religion can give such great power seen and witnessed on earth. I need Jesus Christ because He resurrected from death and gave hope in eternal life.

Who else could raise the dead beside Him.
We could, if we but had the faith:
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:12

Dear Ahavati,
We do, but only through believing in Him as the God and Saviour. No other man could do that except in His name, and through believing in Him.

Re: Re. White Windows
I mean that followers have made Jesus into God when he was an extension of God ( or Source Energy, as I refer to it ). They worship the feather that fell from the bird vs the bird. Jesus didn't believe in himself in order to heal, he specifically said that when he said, " [. . .] Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God." Luke 18:19 KJV
Jesus believed in the power of God and became a conduit to that power ( energy ). He believed in God ( Source Energy ). If you wish to do great things, as he has said you can, then you need to believe AS him, not IN him. A feather is nothing without the bird except a memory of something.

"Why callest thou me good? None is good, save one, that is, God." This verse means: how did you know Me that I am God as there is no one good save God Himself.

Re: Re. White Windows
This is the problem I have with interpretation, JZ. No where in that statement does Jesus say, "I am God." And yet, there are those who would interpret what it meant beyond what it actually says.
I understand gospel writers and epistle authors believed Jesus was God (and can furthermore list numerous scriptures attesting to such ); however, Jesus never claimed he was God because he came to reveal the Father ( God, Source Energy, et al ). He would not want people to think that he was saying he was the Father. Even unto his death, he affirmed he was the Son of God; and thus prayed to his Father from the cross. . .why hast thou forsaken me?
The gospels have been corrupted thru translation and gross misinterpretation. People have been suppressed and indoctrinated with the opposite of Love, fear, because of it.

What can you say about, "lf you really knew Me, you would know My Father as well."........"Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father." He also said whatever is asked in My name, will be answered.

Re: Re. White Windows

God created mankind in his own image ( Genesis 1:27 ). You will recognize God in everything and everyone if you choose to see him in them—this is the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But, which dwells within us ( John 14:17 ) . Therefore, when I see God in another person, I see God.
Lastly, and most importantly, there are so many verses regarding what Jesus said about asking, everyone of them a variation of the other. 'whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.'
John 14:13, Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
In essence, the Father works through Jesus that he ( the Father ) may be glorified.
John 15:16, You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
Again, ask OF the Father thru Jesus.
John 16:23, 23 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.
James 1:5, 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
James 1:17 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
I could go on and on and on highlighting where Jesus distinctly outlines a difference in himself and his Father. However, I'll address one more that Christians like to use out of context:
John 15: 7, If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Out of context meaning that they quote only that part of the chapter and not the subsequent part applicable to the statement:
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
Jesus makes a clear distinction between himself and his Father, who is my Father, who is your Father. We just refer to him by different names.
There are many roads to heaven. I choose not to live in fear but Love and freedom. Because the spirit of truth residing in me has born witness with the Truth of Love.
