This is my life

This is my life, it is what it is.
I've won, I've lost, and still I don't have answers to this quiz.
Mistakes I've made many.
Regrets I have plenty.

Life is a gamble you make with every decision.
You bet with your happiness, so make them with precision.
One wrong turn can change you fate.
One short cut to your life path, and a new ending you'll create.

I've had a hard life, and some things I couldn't change.
I accept my part and I've tried so hard to rearrange.
I've  always felt like I had to make all the people around me happy.
But, when you do that it's your life that ends up crappy.

That thing people say about hindsight, well believe me it's true.
I would have done things  much differently if I only knew.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda, can't go back now.
Living all these lessons,  that's my solemn vow.

Always listen to advice from Mom and Dad.
Might sound a little crazy, but if you don't you'll wish you had.
Never take what's not yours to take.
It makes you look weak, shallow, and fake.

Treat others as you wish to be treated,
because karma's wrath is undefeated.
Share whatever you have with those in need.
You'll be rewarded beyond comprehension, if you don't give in to greed.

Don't take for granted the ones that truly love you,
because in the end when all the others are gone they'll be the remaining few.
Life  teaches us new lessons everyday.
So make the most of whatever life throws at you and, it will all turn out okay.
