Wasted time

Years; that's the time
 that I've wasted-
Wasted on searching for
something that no one else can
help me find.

The time that I've wasted
is time never replaced-
Almost sickening
Like a slap in the face

From one man to another-
One week to the other,
All I hear is the ticking
Of my souls clock...

From the edge of the razor,
To the scars of the cut,
Damn, how the hell did I
Get myself into this rut?...

My cries and screams
Obviously muted,
Alone in this prison...
So instituted

From a child to a grown woman
Guidance is all that I have truly wanted
Conflicted by my inner demons
Only rescued by my inner strength

Ready to sleep,
Angry to wake
Why do I keep
Making the same mistakes

The time that I've wasted
Is time never replaced
I wish the clock
Would disappear to another place
