her large windows
share her reflection
rain smatters to the ground
small droplets form
in dustiness
not large enough to slide
they rest
globules of distraction

fog slowly rises
between the panes
contrasting temperatures
warm against chilly
leaving the outside woods
in a soft blur

droplets forming on the ends
of pine needles
clear as glass
they hang
nature's ornaments

she finds it comforting
that nature
can still offer so much
in the smallest drop
a whole universe
can reside

her reflection
suddenly seems so unimportant
to what is held
in each single globe
of rain
