Dakota (Cigarettes)
We laugh and talk warm or cold we enjoy a cigarette.
Passing thoughts through smoke we say it’s time to quit.
-
I see you, you see me.
A cigarette smoked I had three.
Two for you and one for me.
We need to quit a nod and agree.
No cigarettes and I see you.
Smoking a cigar being all cool.
I pick on you making little jokes.
Now inside I really need a smoke.
No cigarettes and I see you again.
Here we are bumming off a friend.
Another pack bought that’s twenty more.
A cigarette with you is what I adore.
You can have eleven and I’ll take nine.
After this we have to quit smoking this time.
-
We learned so much of one another while we had our cigarettes.
Quitting together was hard but still were here learning with no regrets.
Passing thoughts through smoke we say it’s time to quit.
