new-year reVolution

cycles in circles
circling in cycles
365 days lurching forward
360-degree fame and trouble
annual hurdles
senza rehearsals
content to watch time gallop onward
each millisecond but a bubble

fickle and fragile
blessed by the fertile
moments of earth rich with God's goodness
sheep gone astray, without compliance
still, every morning
freshly adorning
heaven and earth and hills and cool shades
lo how the sun brings warmth and radiance!

proliferation
of desolation
torn by the rage of human nature
bloody the steps we leave behind us
pale resolutions
bold dissolutions
swept by incontinence and failure
ink every page with willful blindness

new reVolution
only solution:
death of injustice, pride, and hatred
humility sprung from its cradle
hungry no human
saved by a new dawn
rescue the dying, cold, and naked
seeking the lost while we are able…
