haunted expressions in ocher  
chasms light first dawn
greeting his mistress in twilight's embrace
 
he made manifest her worth---
within sacred halls of understanding
kissing her youth and envisioning the woman
evolved in strength and power
claiming this place eternal
 
their immortal embrace would never be forgotten
in a rage she slashes at the air
a divinity in the flesh of a mortal
it's unfair yes...he still sees her beauty
disarming her he claims her mouth with passion's last breath
he vows to love her forever
 
his Queen...yes a warrior
upon bated breath he waits
counting the seconds in eternity
