Sympathy for the devil
I've met Lucifer face to face...
did you know he takes credit for all you've written?
says it was his words not yours
all the songs sung are plagiarized property of his
matter of fact you're all just actors on his stage
playing your parts not even your pain is your own
yesss my friends he takes credit for even that
truth be told he wants to be you...each and every one of you
he's the biggest bigot I've ever known
he hates humanity, calls it weak
says he can break it the code to your soul
he's been one with me
I've been demonically obsessed, demonically possessed
I was on Meth
yes I met death
he pities himself most
with all his wealth and good health
yeah he has the nerve to pity himself
he wants popularity but that's not enough
he has a greed so vast it can never be fed
it just eats and eats
where you ask?
why off your plate of course
he feeds his fat ass at your table
while you gorge and gain in girth
he stays lithe
while he gets high
you end up in rehab and he's off to the next one
he lies in a mansion
you dwell in squalor
he murders his handprints aren't on the gun
but let me tell you he did it
he tells you God is dead
I'm here to tell you he wishes
I've seen him preaching from the pull-pits
make no mistake he exists...this beast
he will kill, steal and destroy you if you let him
how do I know these things?
Lucifer and I were once one
we were brothers
I know him intimately
things will never be the same
in truth, I don't want them to be
but I'll be damned if he takes credit for me
sympathy for the devil?

Amen. Though I will say I do have compassion for humans who have been sucked in by the ruse. That is the thing about negativity; it sucks you in then abandons you when you're of no more use. I don't think any human escapes existence in this form without first experiencing, at least once, that negativity. Sin is no more or less absence of choosing good.

Awesome write Crimson, love the Religion/drugs aspect and angle of religion laid down. well penned piece.
