Even in our Bad Times
I carry broken pieces in my soul
how the mess is so hard to clean up
mistakes don't define us
but they sure do fuck us up
the neon lights
remind me of the lowest of my time
when I see you
I see a glow brighter than the sun
regret is knowing that you deserve more
somehow I'll find away
I wrap my arms around you
kiss the top of your head
say those words I always say
I love you
in the face of hard times
we always manage to break free
feels like together
there's nothing we can't accomplish
damn, I can't seem to fit in
but with you it's perfect
like everything makes sense
some things are priceless
knowing I can fully trust you
always there when I need a hand
may not always be the ideal relationship
but it sure feels it
even in our bad times
