Pieces of Me

There're pieces of me people don't get to see
I reveal fractions of them all within my poetry
We collectively have stories of glory but more be of pain
Traveling on these bumpy streets in our own lanes

Fighting to stay sane with our brains on overload
Trying to keep warming hearts in a world that's bitter cold
Lo and behold it seems to get colder as time passes
Becoming more & more cutthroat amongst the masses

A bunch of asses and elephants playing the same game
Deceptive as they wanna be and it's a damn shame
All of these daily things have an impact on who I am
As I dissect the bigger pictures like the figures on Instagram
