Reflections (on a Starry Night)

“All that new days' coming soon
All that new days' coming soon
Oh how I wonder
It really makes me wonder.....”

…...as I look into the starry night sky
I don't need any other means to see an
errant star fly by.  The birth of a new galaxy
or the death of a constellation, light years away
which shall it be?

It makes me wonder, it really makes me wonder.....

….a child is born into this crazy, mixed up world
full of evil, full of good-filled with wonder
matters not that it's a boy, that it's a girl
caught up in this centrifuge called life,
that's how it goes
and where it stops, where it ends
nobody truly knows

and it makes me wonder, it really makes me wonder....

that I've known of your existence
all the days of my life
the delicacy of a shy child
who becomes a wildflower,
or even a supernova burning bright

a wife,  a mother, a scholar
and the world revolves, the seasons change
now that beautiful lonestar crosses my galaxy
and the wind gently calls her name

hence I hear her cry
and there by the grace of God go "I"
What can “I” do to once again
make her smile?
Will she let me hold her close,
will she let me keep her safe
'like a prayer"
for just a little while
because,

“with all the trouble in the world we need a new day
With all the moaning broken hearts are crying,(new day)
All our loved ones are slowly, slowly dying, (new day)
I know that we need a new day, (new day)
And that new days coming soon (for me)
And that new days coming soon (for you)”

….....it makes me wonder, it really makes me wonder       ASMIII
