Cold world
He cries in darkness.
Misunderstood by the world.
No power, to share what is in his soul. Misunderstood, abandoned and lonely, he lives the life of a recluse.
'Loved' by his partner, just not completely. Never enough. She does not know the voices of his soul. The nagging dissatisfaction. The sadness. He does not feel complete, despite the love she tries to give him.
He tried to ignore.
Pretending it doesn't exist,
the screams of his heart.
But walking away is not possible, walking away from oneself,
nobody can.
So he carries his tears alone. Because no-one sees him.
His true nature hidden under a blanket of sorrow.
The amount he could give.
And knowing it's there,
but never able to follow.
Causes tears,
only he understands.

I do believe it's a human thing to always want more.. sometimes we settle for less we can have, and sometimes that's all there is, sometimes that's more than enough. We determine our needs.. set our goals.. etc.
This poem I have written for a friend cause he did settled for a love which isn't fulfilling, there's a fire inside his soul, different (sexual) needs which she won't ever understand. It's sad when that happens.

"So he carries his tears alone." this line resonated with me. your writing feels very personal but is also something that can reach the hearts of many. amazing work!
