Sheep Dog

Natural protector
Of the worlds flock
Standing my ground
Firm as a rock

Heads on a swivel
Always aware †
Even though humble
The sheep I do scare

They really donít like me
I fill them with fright
Even as I keep them safe  from
Things that go bump in the night

I live by the rules
Yet not afraid to fight
Gentle as a feather
Only covers my might

My kindness not weakness
The beast is not dead †
He sleeps and he waits †
Until itís time to be fed †

I may be old
But test and youíll see
The wrath of an old †
Weary sheep dog like me
