Bloody Benders

Roll up, Roll up weary travellers
Stop for refreshments at the humble establishment of the Bloody Benders.
It is the most hospitable residence you will ever encounter and the last place you would ever expect danger
A  cabin built by the hardworking family of  entrepreneurs
Representing all that is special about American pioneers
You were on a important trip, did not need to stop but you could not resist
Unattractive and unmarried gentleman
Beautiful daughter lured you in with a smile, giggle and wink
Inside the basic structure the kindly mother cooking in the kitchen
Friendly conversation with the wonderful women
Traditional home cooking, drinking and resting
Oblivious of the father and brother hidden behind the dividing curtain
Your throat will be split
Your head will be bludgeoned
You will be hidden in the basement
Your possessions will be stolen.
Soon the Benders will have forgotten you were ever present
You were  not popular or missed and  that was the secret of their success
Slowly rotting until someone comes looking for a relative and a fellow victim
Influential people gain interest and locals get suspicious
No justice - the family disappear
They have fled
All that is left is an empty property and a pile of bodies
Torn down to rubble by the locals
Did that mean that the killing had to end or it simply relocated?
It was a great business
Maybe they should have franchised it.
