Evil even lies in innocence
Was walking through the streets
With my mind on wicked dreams.
Saw him laying on the ground
With his gut's all around.
He didn't have that stupid smile
His mouth not speaking words untrue, ment to make me feel like such a fool.
He was always intimidating, manipulating, the way I feel.
Hitting or screaming.
Whispering words I shouldn't hear.
Being his daughter, he believed having the right to pull me near. Touching private places, as I was seeing distant faces.
As I am walking through these streets, my feet are barely touching the gravel underneath.
My voice is singing beautiful songs, almost forgotten.
By the time I got back home,
Police were standing in our front lawn.
With my mind on wicked dreams.
Saw him laying on the ground
With his gut's all around.
