Little Slip

It was just a little slip,
I wasn't meant to ruin it,
I was doing so well,
This feeling was so natural.

I guess i thought it would,
It'd just put me on a level,
Chilled ya know,
Steer me away from the devil.

But I know what I'm like,
It's never just one,
T-shirt, 8th & Oz,
Then moneys all gone.

But it doesn't do what it used to,
It would make me do things I wasn't used to,
It got my creativity flowing,
Saw the world as ever growing.

All it does to me know,
Is slow me down,
Makes me forget my days,
Puts me in a haze.

Sure it still puts me in a flow,
Give me ideas but never go,
Anywhere, they just sit in my book,
Until one day I might take a look?

So now I finally know
This herbs not for me,
Those days are over,
I want my creativity.

And I do really know,
I've got to be strong,
Or before I know it,
My life will be gone

And I'll be left thinking back
On what could of been,
Instead of what really
Should of been.

So what I've leant from this
Is not to waste time,
And this really is
the end of the line.

For me with this herb
It just can't disturb,
Me any-more,
I've got to much to live for.
