Death of a Rose

She took me in
Unwilling to share her deepest passions
A fervent kiss unrequited
In the boudoir of her dreams

Silence upon the waters
For when she suffers, she suffers greater
Then any wretch ever did
Upon the cross of my sanity

Vanity persuades my dire hand
A colder touch then winters past
Hollowed out and envious of a jilted dawn
My hated bride the grave longs for your beauty
