So very kind you are, EdibleWords!
Genius I cannot claim
Altho I feel the flame
That kindles all my fires
So that my words might rise.
Thanks for the RL add.

You know what? Ever since I read this article
http://nymag.com/news/features/27840/
I've had the guilts about this "compliment."
That's real, for you.
I'm still awed, though.

What a thought-provoking article!
Thanks for sharing it, EW.
As an educator, I find it insightful in contemplation of how kids respond to praise. I've always been careful NOT to allow my students to believe that they have achieved full hundred so that there is nowhere else to go.
Talk about resting on one's laurels! No one can afford that. And yet, there must be adequate motivation to urge learners to extend themselves. The article points out the critical distinction: praise effort rather than smartness.
Words of wisdom from Dweck:
“Emphasizing effort gives a child a variable that they [sic] can control[.] They come to see themselves as in control of their success. Emphasizing natural intelligence takes it out of the child’s control, and it provides no good recipe for responding to a failure.”

Bravo, Clyde! I have always wanted to do one of these but have never succeeded! The message is wonderful as well.
Your first frowns has an m vs an n!
