Visibly Weeping @ Starbucks
( a Quatern )
The time he read my “Virtuoso” verse,
A newly published po’em years before.
That lulled him like a childhood fable curse,
As inspiration swept throughout its score.
A fugue that countered Mozart's Requiem,
The time he read my “Virtuoso” verse.
A calm he felt and where it had come from,
Despite a coffee’s strength to then immerse.
As sweetness overcame the bitter thirst,
While basking in “Ave Maria”’s glow.
The time he read my “Virtuoso” verse,
A set-up then a take-down’s ebb and flow
His tears’d bring him from the wilderness,
To open a horizon’s universe.
By Schubert’s rearrange of tenderness,
The time he read my “Virtuoso” verse.

Author's Note
My thanks to member NewBeginnings for RL’ing “Virtuoso”, which I went over to reread myself after years, and rediscovered my Tomcat’s (Hepcat61) beautiful comment, which has inspired me to write THIS piece (now part of my Starbucks collection (#5)!

Funny how I have also written when sitting at a Starbucks but nothing quiet as eloquent and moving as this. Love all the musical reference in the poem this musician gives it two big thumbs UP : )

Aawww thank you, dear Jess... Cheers☕️
When the whim strikes I adore writing another Starbuck’s - this is now the fifth installment in my Starbucks series which just sorta happened over the years.
All my best wishes to you for the New Year, Mama!🙏🏻

This is so beautiful and touching, Jade... As a music enthusiast, and an empathetic person, I could really FEEL this one. It's just awesome how we can so deeply touch and influence others through written word alone; and I am so glad that I could help lead you back to that :)

Yes, dear friend, like a homing pigeon, and almost straight away to doing the poem, start to finish in a matter of minutes... it was a good feeling. And I really can’t thank you enough.

Mozart's Requiem, Ave Maria and Schubert all in the same poem! Now here is a poem that plays to my heart (I was trained in classical music). Excellent, excellent, excellent Jade.

Oh my dear Kitty sister! Something between us that I’m now proud to know we have in common between us! Not that I was trained in but I was raised on throughout my childhood — classical music!
I’m thrilled how much you enjoyed this piece, and I thank you for giving it the honor of being on your Reading List!
ever,

Ms. Jade, it's a wonderful piece. it's awesome to see how sometimes poets influence other poets when these pieces connect, like pieces to a puzzle in the scenery of the universe.
Well done.
Well done.
