there's a place I love to be
foot of mountains, shore of sea
rain in winter, summer dry
rainbows, halos, in the sky -

flowing rivers, canyons, lakes
deep green forests...all this makes
this place I love, this place to be
foot of mountains, shore of sea -

seals and eagles, cormorants
whales and salmon, all life's wants
hummingbirds and ravens' calls
with the power of waterfalls -

every day the tide rolls in
stops, then leaves, then back again
the planet's link to Moon and Sun
a cosmic union, we are one

in a place I love to be
foot of mountains, shore of sea
every morning, every night
through these words my mind takes flight
