i love you.

what does that mean

i can only say
i love you
at this moment

or that i have loved you
in the past

 or that i want to love you
in the future

the past is gone
and the future
does not exist

i can only say
that at this moment in time
my heart is open and alive
and full of joy
and vulnerable

and it feels amazing

i can only say
that here and now
when I hear your voice
smell your hair
taste your lips
caress your skin
see you smile

my soul soars
flying effortlessly
across the universe
