MY FREQUENT FRIENDS
MY FREQUENT FRIEND
Lord, l count just on myself,
but l find myself too weak.
I confess a sin to see
some new sins start to appear.
I have tried to shun the blame,
but it seems my frequent friend,
who is faithful to my heart
and won't leave my solitude.
Sins show me how weak l am.
I dispose of one to find
ancient sins conquer my mind,
telling me l am not clean.
