Feelings Coagulate
In the end I know I will see you again
For now I will just save my breath
As our ozone depletes oxygen becomes a commodity
All these harsh realities pummel me into a timid introspective euphoria
Our differences will finally lose relevance
Soon we will be reduced to dust
Every man and woman the same
Our remains form the shorelines to be pounded by tides of chemical waste
Skies bleed into a toxic haze painting our bleak landscape across a city in ruins
Left here to die thousands of years ago
Inconsequential in the grand scheme of things
We only matter to each other
In this time of dying I sift through years of wasted emotions and empty thoughts
Searching for the feeling I had the day we first met
Autumns brilliance only second to your beauty
To bask in that aura that emanated from you that day
As I asphyxiate
As our feelings coagulate
For now I will just save my breath
As our ozone depletes oxygen becomes a commodity
All these harsh realities pummel me into a timid introspective euphoria
Our differences will finally lose relevance
Soon we will be reduced to dust
Every man and woman the same
Our remains form the shorelines to be pounded by tides of chemical waste
Skies bleed into a toxic haze painting our bleak landscape across a city in ruins
Left here to die thousands of years ago
Inconsequential in the grand scheme of things
We only matter to each other
In this time of dying I sift through years of wasted emotions and empty thoughts
Searching for the feeling I had the day we first met
Autumns brilliance only second to your beauty
To bask in that aura that emanated from you that day
As I asphyxiate
As our feelings coagulate
