I've seen them vanish over time,
once so active
carried by the surge
of inspired commentary
and word therapy,
our colourful cast
gracing each episode
with a few lines,
until they slowly faded
into a brief sighting
and some,
- complete silence

But others found the door
and claimed a small lot
in the literary jungle
to sculpt their own pleasures
and acknowledge their pangs
into flash monuments

A few regulars
hung around
into a forth and fifth season
and some never returned

Tombstones of inactive avatars
pop up now and again,
for those who didn't
orchestrate a full wipe
- and the measure left
of lasting impressions,
authored by those
who could write themselves out.

Author's Note
A tribute to some of the poets that encouraged and inspired me when I first arrived in the DUP. Sadly, some no longer grace these pages with their musings and I miss their unique styles and presence.
