I have practiced Taoism...philosophical, not religious...for many years...when you let go of everything...balance and harmony flow gently each and every day. Beautiful uplifting ink P.

I've heard that Taoism is a great thing to practice, I think I could use a practice like that in my life for the peace and harmony it brings. Any pointers?

Hi Pencil, firstly you would have to have faith in Nature and that way you would then be able to study the relativity of all things and the reversal of opposites...Yin/Yang.

Seeking to understand nature is one of my biggest passions in life.

I watch birds...they have so much to teach.

They certainly do. 😊

Birds enchant me. I have 3 feeders just outside my windows. I love watching their behaviors.

As far as my feeders go:
Tufted Titmouse is my favorite, they're spunky, cute, and fast little curious birds.
I love watching them zip in and out, between the other birds. I like to think they are the smartest little guys of the lot.

Mockingbirds, I don't like them. They are stubborn, greedy, and all around bullies to the other birds. But it's in their nature so I love them anyway!

I do some birdwatching away from home from time to time, it's nice when I find the time to do that. 😊

Do you record your species? Or travel for birds?

Hi Scribbles...I have a lot of big trees in my yard which naturally attracts a variety of birds...I have two favorites, though I love them all...the Australian Magpie is my fav and I have plenty of them to listen to and watch here...living near the ocean I also have a love of pelicans...just amazing. Whenever I go away I always take my binoculars. Do you photograph birds at all?

Yes! I do! I shoot birds, flowers, and scenery. I could be better at it though!
We have pelicans here too. But I'm pretty inland, so I don't see them often. 😞

You're lucky! I love magpies, they are incredibly smart!  I've never seen one in person, but I will oneday!

It didn't feel that good actually. I pretended I was a millionaire with loads of money. I was on a sofa with my finest electric guitar (unplugged of course). There were a couple of chicks either side of me, smiling softly & stroking my shoulders & arms. Then a horrible thought popped into my head, like are they just happy to be with me cos I got loads a money, lol. Could be insecurity also, I suppose, cos they might actually like me for me, right? Hold on to that thought baby! ;-)

Loved the poem. It has an interactive feel, almost organic, in the sense that it feels alive.

Lol, I had a couple chicks on either side of me, too, and wondered the same damn thing! Just kidding 🤣

For me, my ultimate wish and vision is:

I see myself traveling with my soulmate who is also my research partner, and friend.
We are traveling the world studying, researching, documenting, and presenting our work.
He makes me laugh, think, and he sometimes makes me mad.
Where ever we go, with him, it feels like home.
We are serious, we are playful, we are passionate, we take risks, we trust that the other has our back when push comes to shove, we live simply, we live....we really live.

Just need the cash!
