The First Dusting

Snow like clouds
covers the concrete
dusting the path
in the innocence of white,

I do not wish
to alter the vision
or the pristine settlement
of lightness

So I watch from a window,
letting it fall in place

It will not be my footprint
that tramples on beauty.
