Sweet 16

Sixteen years ago you entered this world
Making me a father of a beautiful baby girl
A twirling of emotions went through my heart
Scaring me initially 'cause of your rocky start

Your heart rate was lower than it should've been
Experiencing what's called decels in medical jargon
Since then you began this journey called life
Where trials & tribulations are inevitably rife

My advice is to continue enjoying your youth
You only get one chance and that's the truth
You can never recoup the times of being free
Able to do anything without adult responsibility

Conquer all of your dreams and aspire to excel
Giving your best at everything and doing it well
Fulfill your destiny to be all that you can be
Evolving from a young princess into a Queen
