But over the poem, it gives a sense of fake cheerfulness.... slightly frantic, tis the season, grit the teeth and smile...

I like Thanksgiving because it’s more a sense of human unity. Xmas is frantic and unwise in my opinion...

No trip this season but maybe in the new year. When I gorge it’s a thing of beauty, Though trying to avoid that until my annual physical takes place in a few weeks.
