Fun While it Lasted
there was a time
when you ran in the yard
fell to the ground
cried till daddy picked you up
and with a kiss to the knee
you thought this is how it'd always be
then came your teen years
that's where you were introduced to sin
those boys smiled just right
had you captured by the mouth
that's when the lines of right and wrong
became blurred
out into the workforce
you are now grown
no more childish games
that's when you realized your life lacks excitement
oh boy those boys
and that's when you did your first infidelity
now married with two kids
it's best to hide those sins in a box
hidden at the bottom of the bed
realizing you are just human
even in God's hands
guess it was just another trip
till you had to get back up again
