being a writer, conjuring words to will
goosebumps down spines, or mist those eyes as if lost in a rainforest
Envoke rage and fury
Yet...
Pay me a compliment
I choke
as if some drought has struck my vocabulary

Accepting a comment can be much more difficult than giving one, Carpe. You've captured that very succinctly. But, it's a reflection of how others see us. I wish everyone could view themselves through the eyes of someone who loves them.
