[2019] Shakra Zulu
Nightly, I slay demons
not for fear of what
deadly breath might be
expelled from dark's
jungle helled lungs
but because of suns
disappearing daily---
eclipsed by emotions
leaving me confoundedly
ungrounded and aching
until finally
forsaking my
solar plexus system

Hi JB sounds like a rough day......quite an intense poem as the light dims each day on your emotions leaving you unseated, this is a brave, honest poem, the opening grabbed me, as did jungle helled lungs, not sure you need system after solar plexus but just personal preference. very much enjoyed.

Hey, Raz. Yeah. Day. Days. I'm just grateful I have a wonderful support system to help me through the overwhelming patches. I'll consider dropping system; I was wanting it to play off the whole sun eclipse solar system reference. Thank you.

Bless you JB hope things improve, just keep writing and forget what I said because what you said makes more sense I just missed the link, I can be a bit dense with stuff like that.

The rougher the patch the smoother the sailing will be when the waves finally calm . . .
Three things cannot long stay hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth. xo

Never cease to release the beast. Everyone writes for a reason. Run towards or away from something, build a castle. Your work, especially this one makes me think of John Constantine's Diary

Many times I've lied awake in bed wrestling, thinking about the good and bad. I find your piece to add to that hope and optimism.
Excellent write sir.
