this is sad but its true to life break ups are so hard to forget as they sometimes follow you in life...nicely done

yeah i agree with your statement it use to be a time when folks would be honest with you nowadays you have to feed some folks through a long handle spoon and fork...respect

The Toxicity spreading from within
And all ok intentions from breakaway, fall away,
rapidly becoming strangers.

Its what usually happens when relationships fail

I suppose how they fail will affect the impact

For some itll be a concrete, others grass
I'm a grass kinda guy, but not everyone is so fortunate
Its the getting up again that's more important than where we might fall
Pain is but another feeling to rise up from
Bringing many beautiful moments when we do

Men are taught to lead, not cope with the consequences, or handle the job with care and proportion. Those who get it in the ballpark of right stumble blindly onward without sufficient modeling.

perhaps they need better education

I believe that... in the form of better role models!

Sadly, I can relate to these tensions expressed.  It can be an excruciating serenade.  These lines strike a painful chord:

"My hatred casts around in a barrage,
Designed to push away and blockade"

I see that look way too frequently.

The acrid feelings ooze out with acidic potency to eat away the foundations of a relationship. You really punched this into a powerful poem. Amazing how to put the breakdown of love into strong and vivid words.
