Tiptoed Spinnerets
Reaching the highest point,
spiderling balloonists
hold tight to gossamer drag-lines
fly-fishing on springtime thermals,
always falling.
Opening the car door
a money spider crash-lands
across my eyelash,
runs for cover
and tickles my ear.

i officially LOVE this poem. the contrast between the harshness of 'crash' and the delicacy of 'eyelash' serve to illustrate the size differences (and, therefore, perspectives) of the two creatures involved. a most novel 'car crash'. does your insurance cover THAT, i wonder?

Oh God! It's HORRIFYING but they do fly! They use the Earth's Electric Field! A spider exhibiting ballooning behavior. These kind of spiders ( ballooning ) can travel hundreds of miles through the air (and, horrifyingly, rain down on unsuspecting towns)!

Ha ha yes they do, well are they really flying or are the falling gracefully ? They are only little ones, the big ones cant get the thermals :)

Yes money spider, its a uk tiny little spider, its considered bad luck to kill them because your pockets will be empty of money. ??? If you catch one and put it in your pocket you will always have money ???
