Wrong

I painted with colours that never suited my pallet
I was an artist and never knew it
I loved a heart that never wanted me
I thought it was wrong to be free
I opened the door to let the dark in
I knew I couldn't let life win
It was wrong

you saw me through eyes that were blind
you touched a heart that you couldn't find
you knew your love happened too fast
you hoped for it to forever last
you opened your arms for the cold
you had no idea on how to hold
there's always something wrong

my tears drowned along with hope
my tower of strength couldn't cope
my eyes never met your soul
my mind was never totally whole
my lips spoke too much
my cold hands never did touch
forever in the wrong

your smile was warm and scorched my skin
your care and kindness still wearing thin
your feet to fast for ice to catch
your greedy sold hell must snatch
your ears burned and dropped on me
your heart in wire and couldn't see
it's you who's wrong
