The CONTEXT For the RAPTURE
I want to get the word out about just what the Rapture will be !!
I mean THE CONTEXT of it is what has been missing.
Namely the "sudden destruction" just 3 verses later(1st Thess.5.3). THAT really IS the context for the Rapture !!
There really will be SUDDEN DESTRUCTION going on !!
And so the Rapture will be wildly DIFFERENT from what you have been led to believe !!
First of all, only those WHO DIE will go up at the Rapture !!
So people in small towns in the USA will NOT be raptured.
For it is the BIG CITIES that will be targeted (by Russian bombs). Christians in other countries (in South America, Africa, etc) ARENT going up.
For Russia isn't bombing them !!
Secondly, people in graves are NOT rising out of those graves at the Rapture !!
For "rise first" in 1st Thess.4.16-17 means rise first BEFORE the Rapture.
I mean Paul the apostle spoke of a man being "caught up" or RAPTURED way back in Paul's day !!
He was talking about himself in 2 Corinthians 12.2-4: "I knew a man who was caught up to the third heaven.."
Bible scholars tell us this would = Paul when he had a NDE (near-death experience) when he was stoned to death in Iconia (Acts 14.19).
My point here is that Christ followers "rise first" AT DEATH - get raptured at death.
So at the Rapture (presented in 1st Thess.4.16-17) those who have already died thruout the Church Age -
those souls will be DEScending with Christ, not ascending out of graves !!
For we read "those that sleep in Jesus, God will bring with Him as He descends"(1st Thess 4.13-15). What will be their role or function??
They'll be the "gathering angels" at the Rapture (Matthew 24.30-31 - following the fiery destruction suggested by the words, "the stars will fall," verse 29).
But how can "those that sleep in Jesus" (which = "the dead in Christ," of course) = the angels who are gathering souls at the Rapture ??!!
Well, as you know, we become "equal to the angels" after death ( Luke 20.35-37).
So "the dead in Christ" in 1st Thess.4.16-17 = the "gathering angels" at the Rapture in Matthew 24.30-31.
PS: "The stars will fall" (Mt 24.29) is talking about MAN-MADE star-like objects
- nuclear warheads that turn into fireballs.
Those nuclear fireballs operate by nuclear fusion just like real stars do.
Why do i say that (the stars falling are manmade objects) ??
Well there are 3 Rapture passages in which the Rapture is accompanied by some form of Destruction.
The Rapture is the same in all 3 passages.
On that basis the destruction that accompanies the Rapture should, logically,
be the same in all 3 passages. Now, one passage speaks of "sudden destruction," while a second passage suggests MANMADE destruction(2nd Thess.2.3).
Finally, a third passage says, "the stars will fall."
Now if "sudden destruction" = man-made destruction = "the stars will fall,"
this sets up "the stars will fall" to be manmade objects !!
Do you see how i get to that conclusion ??!!
About 2nd Thess.2.3, all it says is that "the Man of Sin will be revealed, THE SON OF DESTRUCTION."
It doesn't actually state that he will be "revealed" by the mass destruction that he will launch or authorize.
But it DOES imply that that is the case.
For it says this man will become THE DESTROYER ("the Son of Destruction").
My point here is that, logically, this man HAS TO launch some form
of great destruction, for his name is the Destroyer.
And so that implicit destruction HAS TO be manmade !!
So we carry that thought over to Mt 24.29 !!
Also, as if to confirm that "the Son of Destruction" = the Destroyer,
we read that this same man
will "make war against the
SAINTS.." (Revelation 13.7),
which means against the nations predominantly Christian.
So it becomes certain that the destruction at the Rapture truly will be manmade. Agreed ??!!

OK well what if son of destruction meant exactly what is says....so ask yourself who is known as destruction?
Thanx for your comment. You ask, "what if the son of destruction means exactly what it says?" Then you add, "who is known as destruction?" I guess you mean the devil. So "son of destruction" = the son of the devil.
I dont like that approach. For it doesnt tell us just WHAT the Son of Destruction will DO !! Whereas my approach (interpreting Son of Destruction to = the Destroyer) presents this guy, the Antichrist, to be LITERALLY the most destructive man of all time. (For he launches all-out nuclear war - based on Revelation 13.7).
Pardon me for criticizing your comment, but i dont get the impression that you understand my message. So Please tell me what stands out as illogical or unrealistic. Thanx for your help.
PS: Going back and reading your comment one more time, i get the impression u r resisting my take on "Son of Destruction" because u dont like the idea that there will be manmade destruction at the Rapture. And i am saying that if "the stars will fall" = the manmade destruction at the Rapture, this requires that the stars in "the stars will fall" = MANMADE objects.(Nuclear fireballs).
LSS: u r running away from the claim that nuclear war is the message here. It is only natural 4 u to look for some way out - some alternative answer other than nuclear war. But i want u to think of Paul the apostle's words in 1 Cor. 13.11: "when i was a child, i thought as a child..but when i became a man i put away childish things." Its time to put away the CHILDISH idea that the abominations of abortion, porn (especially on the internet where children can access it!!) and of course homosexuality will be punished by God with something LESS than nuclear war !! Like MOTHER THERESA said, "i fear that nuclear war lies ahead." She was answering someone's question as to how God will punish us for legalizing abortion and for the Church NOT destroying the abortion clinics - by whatever means necessary. Yes, she was right as rain. Nuclear war will DESTROY the Demoncrat Party in this country. Which is pushing all those abominations. For the big cities will be erased from the map. And those citadels of satan are the strongholds of the demo'crats. Without the big cities the Dems will shrink to the size of the Libertarians. The GOP will win all the elections, for the small towns are the strength of the GOP. God is Love, yet He will let nuclear war come upon this country !! What does that tell u??!! That He HATES the demo'crat Party enuff to let all the destruction come upon this country.
