winter days
We did not ask for all this freeze
All of a sudden in this squeeze,
We’ll have to change to winter clothes
Leaving nowhere to expose,
These are times to stay in bed
Breakfast cuddles makes us glad,
And if we can avoid the drive
No more work from nine to five,
I just would love to hibernate
Until summer marks its date,
Beneath the quilt a special one
Until we can see again the sun.
All of a sudden in this squeeze,
We’ll have to change to winter clothes
Leaving nowhere to expose,
These are times to stay in bed
Breakfast cuddles makes us glad,
And if we can avoid the drive
No more work from nine to five,
I just would love to hibernate
Until summer marks its date,
Beneath the quilt a special one
Until we can see again the sun.
