GRANT ME THE STRENGTH.
GRANT ME STRENGTH.
The lamb in me has ruled my heart and mind
and quelled the roar that my strong lion'd breathed.
I feel so frail; the softest drift of wind
can drop me down like dry leaves to the ground.
I feel my power comes from That Who knew
His end would be on that harsh cross of wood,
yet He would walk the thorny way to death
to save those whom He loved, whose strength has ebbed.
I'm weak, yet l still love to live and write,
but life demands great strength to stand and fight.
I ask your blood, shed on the cross to grant
me strength to fight who want to shed my blood.
