Red Sky Morning

In the final breath of night
my shadow cascaded along the moonlit shore
standing barefoot in the sand I ask the current to steer the start of something new
I gaze at the stars and wish upon them to keep me in your mind
to remember me kind
to make me a lover you could bind
that I wasn't just a fluke for you to find
I left you deserted and
asserted myself to the life I am bound
I should have left you sheltered from my fire
standing on your shore without knowing who I am
I begged a question to the horizon in front of me
GIVE ME A SIGN!!
A red sky morning answers me
"You are the thunder before his storm,
he is the lightning inside your rain."
