Shedding thought

What is this world to me?
What am I to this world?
What is life when so finite?
I wish to hold my girls and laugh
I want to be wrapped in dark waves
Lost within that tidal sea
I need to find the highest cliff
Scream amongst the strongest winds
Let a voice ride upon its current
I need to run through forests
Feel the earth beneath my feet
I always find a breath of life
Amongst the cold flowing waters
Amidst the mountains run
I always find the truest reflection
In the least of minds adultery
Why am I cursed by thought?
When I want to simply be.
Time will show what’s meant and right
Until that night
I hold my heart and fight
That pursuit to simply live
Lost amongst the lines of verse
We'll see if it can be.
