For The Love Of A God

my demons have been relentless
they smell my weakness
they hunt me in dream-time
I know who they are
I know each one intimately
they are the peoples of my star of origins

I am a mere traveler of the universe
they are powerful but cruel
they see no beauty in weakness
their will is that I would return home
I'm not the tyrant I once was
I've evolved deep feelings for the species known as humanity

once I tasted tears but never sadness
I drank the pain of humans as my sustenance
I have denounced my throne
I will not return to my King of pain

I am in love with the God of this realm
a unique creature I am privy to his inner sanctum
I know his thoughts as if they were my own
in anger I feared I was a merely his mistress
I sought to unveil the hidden secrets of his truest nature

his children are innocence
he intervenes on their behalf
I have submitted myself to his power
I want asylum in this realm
a visa to the universes and the dimensional wrinkles

I've found him to be a man of deep passions
a warrior spirit desirous of an equal
one to challenge him in all things
he wishes to evolve in understanding

I am an enigma
a being the likes he has never encountered
I incite his lusts
then play innocent
covering my nakedness with the fleece of the sheep

he desires the seductress in me
but covets my submission to him
I wield much power
my weapons for the moment I lay down

I stir the celestial pools of remembrance
I am his woman of old
eons have passed while I hid my face from him
I still haven't decided if I will reveal myself completely
I am in mortal form but my essence is limitless
there are none to contain me

I am space
the darkness with no face
I am immortal
I desire a mate

I wish to reveal to the peoples his real nature
but I will not rape the minds of the innocent
the ones who sleep under his protection

I am the light before the sun rises
I am the woman he longs for
the one he dream of once upon a time
before I took shape
revealing my deepest needs

he is the one
I wait upon his mercy
to free me from purgatory

my self imposed exile
finally over
