Sexy Morbid

The resurrected,
Arisen in decrepit and catatonic form,
Chased the living with a ravenous hunger,
They left a trail of entrails of their victims in their path
And acted like nothing was wrong.
(The nerve)

But the awe stricken grievers who had once been…
“Believers”
Couldn’t conceive the idea that such a sin was permissible,
After all, miracles do happen, but this, this was abhorrent,
Repugnant, some even said it was sacrilegious.

It didn’t help that the event had taken place on all Hollow’s eve,
Looking like some kind of freak show or sick joke gone too far,
But the resurrected seemed driven by some mnemonic purpose,
To find the ones that once loved them so that they can love them back.

So it was at this party when I ran into them,
When I noticed the stench and foul smell,
Then again, some of the costumes were great,
And some looked like straight out of hell.

But I guess it was after they had just feasted
When the living dead showed up at this bash,
And the music seemed to make them move,
I mean the groove was all just so fantastic,
Until someone noticed it was real splattered mass.

Then all hell broke loose,
Partygoers ran in every direction avoiding the walking dead,
They even avoided the slutty sexy morbid ghouls,
Because in the music and mayhem, you really couldn’t tell.

I mean at first I kind of doubted the whole thing, like it was an act,
How often do you see a turnt zombie baby,
Poppin' and lockin',
But the place was lit!
Shit, it was all too hysterical, hallucinogenic and all,
Then again I should’ve not been doing what I was doing so I split.

I don’t remember how I got away,
But the nightmare had been all too real,
The next day,
I was more surprised that it didn’t make the papers,
No one covered the events,
I think it got swept under the rug by the government.
