Tempo of A Dawn

Awoke in a bed of no lover.
There’s a silence that’s absence of prayer.

And the claws of your cloying demon.
It’s a smoke of efficient despair.

So slow, it’s encryption of hours.
When you’ll learn the deceit of desist.

Please know I could teach you forever.
But there’s nothing abreast of exist.

Pulled clothing with all of my quiet.
I felt I was dressing a wire.

It’s true, I can be a good Someday.
I’m nothing if not a good liar.

Sing out if you fear they could hear you.
I guess I’ve no hate left to hide.

Could I not yet then have tomorrow?
Then all of my best could subside.

Step light, when halls turn to prisons
You could trip on the shade of a blind.

I cannot then take you to sorrow
It’s a path I would leave you to find.

“You first”, seems a need of the kneeling.
It’s no myth, we were told from the start.

All the venom you’d sip for the yearnings.
Of those often addicted to art.
