Image for the poem Always

Always

Stagnation felt, cold winds dealt
Midnight at the oasis as you once knelt
Turn back the hands of time
Tenderness felt of blind designs
If I could steal your breath away
I would without reasons to say
As we play

Close my eyes, whispered whys
To the stars I give you, a pillow of the majestic blue skies
Words once whispered, hearts now mourn
Souls dined, shattered, remnants of torn
Misplaced, never to be reborn

Absence of love to the space of the mind
Utilization of precious lost time
Lipping softness of sweet wine
Once infiltrated into a silken grape vine
As we sow, one comes to reap
Lips speak, ears attuned as they greet

Erected castles tumbled down
Memories making atoning sounds
Encrypted words to the wise
Clear enough for a silent goodbye
There’s always tomorrow
Souls pondering upon thistles of sorrow

I go now, but never too far
Out of hiding to offer you a twinkling star
We will soar as earthly lions below roar
No human beings to block Heavenly entrance doors
It graciously swings open, entwined as we fly through
A last celestial dance among the galaxy, catered for me and you
