sitting alone in some far off corner

write like your neck is in a
noose and flames are shooting
out of your ass

write like you are punching
your way through a brick
wall to rip the heart out of
whoever is standing on the
other side

write like you're driving a
nail through the hand
of Christ

write like you only have
minutes to live and the
last words will show the
real meaning of beauty
to eternity

write like your pen is filled
with a thousand poisonous
spiders

write in a scream about
life
death
terror
joy
salvation
damnation
the empty bottle
the broken heart
the broken bottle
the empty heart

when you write

do not worry about being
perfect because it's more
fun to get dirty than be
perfect

don't concern yourself
with style
if you write long enough
style will find you even
if that style is no style
at all

savage running,
hunting in the rain,
waiting to pick raw
meat from in between
your teeth after a kill

write sitting alone in
some far off corner,
away from the dead
and the insane that
surround you, and
look for answers to
questions that no one
has dared yet to ask
