Trial and error.
You could have judged me.
But you didn’t.
Except in the beginning -
when you assumed I would never love you.
What a rolling blunder;
to smother us both in your ignorance.
Every tear shed down that mountain
as I fell deeper into the abyss.
A belly ache full of doubt
in my gut
knowing
you’d never
meet me
at the bottom.
