Self and soul
so attached
we've become
to any and everything,
it's absurd,
I see it in myself
and everyone else
but I'm choosing my addictions carefully and honestly
just honing my skills and abilities
trying to contain stability
remain conscious
and always aware
of all the bullshit and beauty
within my world
and I'm always wondering
where it comes from
or why it's here,
loving and fearing that
the end may be near..
nevermind that though
I'm still here right now
till I'm not..
all part of the
eternal evolution of self and soul.

self discovery is a beautiful thing for it opens up the gateways to ones true self for we all apart of the universe just humans created out of flesh and bones and blood as our outer shell of thyself each with its own destination to roam and experience to journey travel and walk through and upon this place we call a world....

Oh nicely done Hunter...you have painted a flowing picture...an illustration, if you will, of how you choose to dance through life...a balancing act which still...allows you plenty of leeway to be free in your
interpretation.
Your line about choosing your addictions wisely is a stroke of genius... seems a good way to learn to control or at least manage the pesky things.
According to neurologists ...Dopamine...
the reward hormone... is a big part of the problem... you know... the more we get, the more we crave... and always we want more and more... it's the reason why we become creatures of habit.
And now I am wondering... why did we evolve this way?
Where is the value that helps us survive?
It can turn us into junkies...so why did Nature not breed it out of us?
Obviously she sees a need...I wonder what it is? hugs... Ely

Your words are very valued and there's so much wisdom in what you say which resonates so deeply, we're definitely a weird ass species with some even weirder habits
From what I have seen so many can't live or function without attaching to something be it a substance or a person or technology food sex anything lol it's so absurd to me but i do the same shit hahaha as far as indulging in something too often, we just need to evolve a lil more maybe but I have no clue haha
