I didn't study this lady, but I enjoyed the comp entries for her, they had whimsy. I started to crack up as soon as I saw this visual poem, Lol, , you have a great sense of sophisticated humor in some of your writes like this one. I like how you photographed a blank wall and added your own graffiti, what a concept. This is anything but hard boiled in its subtle messages, yet carries the yoke of a peaceful protest, Lol..
Also, it made me think of an egg poem I read in some of my classic reading, if i remember the link to it, ill let you know :)

Awesome Ahvanti. As Bradshaw said, sometimes the answer isnt this or that, but rather this AND that. If only people would understand theres room enough for everyone in this old world.

Yes; exactly, Kitts. They would not exist if they did not belong here. Thank you, my friend. ❤

Ah dear One
this is so... sweet and cleverly original.
A tribute to one so deserving of it, who works hard with their writes, always with the kind of expression that flows as one's own blood. Natural! That's what I think I'm getting at.

I feel that the graphic on the final version is a much better reflection of Rupi's sketches. You did a brilliant job of describing the egg as thick as olive oil; that's quite a visual that will linger in the mind ( despite the non stick approach when it comes to panfrying ). You managed to combine the concept of martyrdom with egging and a bit of Humpty Dumpty thrown in; it's an omellete that comes together flawlessly into delicious poetry to consume over breakfast.

what he said ^^
the viscosity and slipperiness combined is perfectly egg-like
and, yes, it takes breaking some eggs to being down walls. more's the pity.

Yes; I didn't feel right with the previous graphic; I felt like I was violating a copyright by using it. Decided to go with my own and play it safe. Thank you; and, I'm happy you enjoyed breakfast. ;) ❤❤
And thank you too, butters! ❤

"Nothing is black or white."
Love is colorblind.
This is a stunning tribute, lovely lady.
I would have just wrote:
Ethan - you're one bad ass motherfucker. Fuck em'.
Bravo.

Ah the relativity of all things...love it A...as a Nihilist how could I not lol. Humpty-Dumpty sat on...he was supposed to be a huge cannon that fell from a cathedral wall and was too heavy for all the kings men to lift back up again. Just a brilliant piece of poetry my friend.
Cheers...Harry

"birthing awareness brings down walls" that line rings so true with power.
Excellent piece Ahavati.

Dear A,
Brava. It’s the courageous that keep slugging away to find truth in who they are and own their existence while here on this planet. A loving and encouraging tribute to someone so loving and encouraging! You are both lovely peeps! H🌷

can't really say anything that others haven't already said about the contents of the poem. but i like the way it's visually depicted; the typography and its contrast with the white background, which itself looks like a wall. in my opinion, the visuals augment the writing rather than appear artistic for the sake of looking artistic without adding anything to the poem and/or making it less legible.
i didn't think i had so much to comment about this, but really it's what sticks out most.
