Don't give in

Don't give in

One dad I never knew,
Did exactly that.
One dad I hardly knew,
Fought back.
Just a few more years,
He may have gained.
But my respect for him,
Has always remained.

Don't give in,
To one and all considering.
Only the living,
Can alleviate the suffering.
If you're out, you can not win,
Never throw that towel in.

It is what it is,
Change what you can.
Living struggles,
Are for every human.
How can you know,
What's around the next corner.
If you've pre registered,
With the local coroner.

Don't give in,
I ask to all who are suffering.
It's only the living,
With a shoulder to put in.
I'm here and I'm staying,
If you need a shoulder, I will lay mine in.
